Cleaning ang greasing

Who doesn’t like to have a clean and shiny bike? Here’s some advice on how to keep your bike in top form. For that, you’ll need to keep it cleaned and properly greased.

You will need to use a bowl for the grease remover, a chain cleaner, a sponge, a tub of water, a jar of dishwashing liquid, a jar of solid grease and a brush. It is VERY advisable to do this outside or in an area where it won't matter if you stain (a terrace or garage, for example). Also, to give your BH bike a thorough cleaning, it would be better if you can hang it upside down and fasten it well.
Dust and mud tend to build up on the rear dérailleur and especially the washers, where they stick to the lubricant. To clean, use a brush dipped into grease remover until all of the grease is eliminated. Do the same for the gears and chain, and for the sprockets and brakes.

Once this is done, spray the bike with water, and then use a grease-removing dishwashing liquid with a sponge to soap the bike, and then remove and dry with a rag.

When the bike is clean, lubricate the chain and transmissions with a special lubricant for bicycles and use the solid grease for the brakes.
