EXTENDED GUARANTEE

  1. The guarantee specifies that it covers your BH bicycle and is governed by the laws of the country where you purchased your bicycle; it only applies to bicycles purchased from an authorized European BH dealer.
  2. FRAMES (frame, rigid forks and swingarm): frames are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase from the authorised BH dealer.
  3. PARTS: the other parts, components that are attached to the frame and the bicycle’s finish (paint and adhesives) are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of two years from the date of purchase from the authorised BH dealer. Forks with suspension are covered by the guarantee offered by the corresponding manufacturer and do not come under the BH guarantee.
  4. This extended guarantee does not imply that the bicycle will not break or that it will last forever: it simply means that the bicycle is covered by the extended guarantee, as indicated in the conditions of the guarantee.
  5. For this extended guarantee to be considered valid you must formalize the printed guarantee at www.bhbikes.com within 3 months of the date of purchase from the authorised BH dealer. BH must also receive the properly formalized print-out.
  6. This extended guarantee is only valid for the original customer of a BH bicycle and cannot be transferred to subsequent owners.
  7. In order to make a claim under the guarantee, the bicycle must be taken to an authorised BH dealer in the same country as the one in which it was bought. The bicycle must be assembled and must be accompanied by the original sales receipt, along with the date of purchase (please ensure that you keep the receipt in a safe place).
  8. All guarantees are subject to our technicians’ findings regarding the nature of the defect after conducting a thorough study of the part in question.
  9. This extended guarantee will be considered null and void in the following circumstances:
    • Improper use.
    • Negligent use.
    • Use in any kind of competition.
    • Performance of repair work and/or maintenance.
    • Performance of alterations and/or modifications.
    • Accidents.
    This extended guarantee only covers those bicycles that have been purchased fully assembled and adjusted from an authorised BH dealer or from any sales point that is expressly authorised by BH to sell its bicycles.
  10. This guarantee does not cover:
    • Damage caused by normal wear and tear on the bicycle, including damage caused by fatigue. Problems caused by fatigue are an indication that the frame has deteriorated through normal usage. This is considered normal wear and tear, and it is the user’s responsibility to check his/her bicycle.
    • Damage caused by incorrect assembly or maintenance and/or installing parts and accessories that are not compatible with your BH bicycle.
    • Damage or harm to the original purchaser of the bicycle, whatever the cause of such damage.
    • Damage or harm caused by the original purchaser to third parties, whatever the cause of such damage.
  11. All labour expenses involved in implementing the guarantee must be paid by the bicycle’s owner. During the period covered by this guarantee, BH will repair any faulty frame or part or, if deemed appropriate, will replace the faulty frame or part with another from the same model or the most similar model available – components that are incompatible with the part to be replaced will not be used.
  12. This extended guarantee is only valid for bicycles from the 2010 range and subsequent ranges.
  13. In accordance with the terms of Organic Law 15/1999 on the Protection of Personal Data (LOPD), clients are informed that the data they have provided in this contract, as well as those later derived from contractual relationships, will be incorporated in the CUSTOMER file that is owned by and is the responsibility of BH BIKES EUROPE S.L., tax code (C.I.F.) B01442979, with registered offices at C/ PERRETAGANA 10, 01015 Vitoria. This company will ensure the safety and confidential treatment of these data in order to manage clients’ contractual relationships with BH. Clients are responsible for the accuracy of the data supplied to BH at all times and agree to request the modification of their data whenever necessary in order to ensure the satisfactory outcome of everything covered in this document. Clients can exercise their rights of access, modification, opposition and cancellation of personal data by writing to Departamento Marketing C/ PERRETAGANA 10, 01015 Vitoria, or by e-mailing calidad@bhsa.es. Clients consent for the personal data provided to be incorporated in the POTENTIAL CUSTOMER file that is owned by and is the responsibility of BH BIKES EUROPE S.L., tax code (C.I.F.) B01442979, with registered offices at C/ PERRETAGANA 10, 01015 Vitoria, in order for the company to provide them with personalised promotional literature about the company’s products and services or those of other companies promoted by BH BIKES. Customers will receive information about product families and services related to sports and leisure. If you do not wish your data to be used by BH BIKES for promotional purposes, please put a cross in the box provided for this purpose in the Marketing Communications section of the Individual Conditions of this document.

In compliance with the Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce Act 34/2002 and the General Telecommunications Act 32/2003, clients are reminded that they are giving their express consent for BH to send them marketing communications through the electronic media they have provided. Clients who do not wish to receive marketing communications by electronic means should put a cross in the box provided for this purpose in the Marketing Communications section. Clients are responsible for the accuracy of the data provided to BH at all times and agree to request that their data be modified whenever necessary in order to ensure the quality of our communications. Clients can exercise the right to revoke their consent to receiving marketing communications by electronic and/or conventional means by writing to BH BIKES, C/ PERRETAGANA 10, 01015 Vitoria with their identifying information and address, or by e-mailing: calidad@bhsa.es.
