BH tri team once again on the podium for the world series in australia

Mario Mola made a great comeback to take the silver, Vicente Hernández finished fourth and Fernando Alarza seventh on the Gold Coats. BH tri team once again on the podium for the world series in australia

Members of the BH Tri Team finished a brilliant performance to repeat a triple presence in the Top-10 of the third event in the World Series contested on the Gold Coast in Australia.

Mario Mola, after winning the first event in Abu Dhabi, was back on the podium in second place after a comeback in which he took silver. He was slow off the mark with respect to the leaders and a chasing group. However, belting away on his G6 Pro he managed to chase down the first peloton and in the last 10 km of the race showed his great qualities on the asphalt. He easily outdistanced his rivals to guarantee second place after British Jonathan Brownlee.

The Majorca resident began the home sprint 27 seconds after the Briton and at halfway changed the pace to go it alone to the finish line, reducing the margin to the winner to 18 seconds.

Behind there was a closed challenge between another BH representative, Vicente Hernández and Javier Gómez Noya for the final place on the podium. The dispute was not resolved until the last few seconds when Noya made a final push and by just five seconds left Vicente Hernández out of the medals, who had performed the best in his career at the Australian venue of the ITU World Series.

The BH Tri Team finished its great performance with Fernando Alarza’s seventh place. The Toledo resident powered through the cycling and swimming together wit the best of the head of the field and in the last kilometres of the race lost contact with the privileged places, even though he finished in a noteworthy seventh place, which reaffirmed him in general.

After this event the general classification of the WTS is headed by Brownlee, 2,186 points, and the BH men in the top positions. With Gómez Noya second, Mario Mola third, at 377 points behind the Briton, followed by Fernando Alarza and the great effort by Vicente Hernández placed him in eighth position.

The World Series tour finishes in New Zealand and Australia and the fourth Olympic-distance race will take place in the city of Cabo (South Africa) with everything to be decided in the general.
