CONSTRUCTION: MONOCOQUE CARBON

As in all BH carbon frames, Hollow Core Internal Moulding (HCIM) technology was used in the RS1 to achieve a frame that would meet the lightness and stiffness goals set. "Technology for monocoque frames that applies high pressure in the mould to achieve the highest levels of compact material and eliminate inconsistent pressures in the frame that create bubbles and imperfections. It allows optimal thicknesses to be controlled and optimised in the different key areas of the frame"

KAMM TAIL SHAPES

The RS1, just like our aero G8 bike, incorporates the Kamm Tail design in its tubes to achieve a completely aerodynamic cross section. Computer and fluid dynamic analyses have been carried out that have shown that the RS1 has the same aerodynamic values as our aero G8 bike.

AERO SHAPES

The aero seat post of the RS1 has the same shapes as our aero G8 bike and its lock has been built into the diagonal tube to ensure minimal impact on the aerodynamics of the upper tube. With the aim of adapting to all cyclists, from high-performance cyclists to those seeking greater comfort, the aero seat post of the RS1 is optionally available with a 15 mm setback, in our accessories and components section.

RIGID AND REACTIVE

The bottom bracket box, with the BB386EVO system, is oversized by up to 86 mm in diameter, increasing the diameter of the lower diagonal tubes by up to 80 mm, which reduces the thickness of the tubes and increases the torsional and rear stiffness. The RS1's chainstays are very short, in order to achieve a very reactive bike that converts your pedalling into power watts. The RS1's rear axle combines all the properties of a highly reactive bike; a short rear axle and aerodynamics that make it stand out from the other Gran Fondo models on the market. The result is ultimate lateral stiffness, total stability and complete efficiency in terms of watts during pedalling.

COMPLETELY INTERNAL CABLING

The new RS1 frame features the ACR system, allowing 100% internal cabling for a clean and cable-free frame.

QUICK LEVERS THAT ARE EASY TO USE

All BH road frames feature 12 mm thru-axle fasteners that have the quick lever completely hidden; it is also easy to use and does not require the use of any tools.
