UCI WORLD CUP #2 CAIRNS: THE COURSE

<< Fast downhills, rocks, jumps, banked curves... >>

" The course is totally exciting: very technical, with a long first climbed  -about 6 to 7 minutes on single tracks-, then fast downhills, very tricky...  rocks, jumps, and banked curves... I love this course!

The jet lag and weather are not so easy... but I have become used to manage it. Hopefully I will get a better result than in Pietermaritzburg this next Sunday, and I expect having fun! "

The climb out of VEMASS (4X Style Technical section) takes riders to the top of ‘Rodeo Drop’ before bringing them back toward the Event Centre for the run down ‘Wallaby Track’ to ‘Cadel’s’.

After the climb then does a U-turn at Ocean View for an equally long descent back through Dougie’s via the rock ramp of Crocslide and the descending switchbacks of Jacob’s Ladder.

Julie's tip:   A long single bump while cornering, fast descents, pebbles, jumps, surveys...
Yesterday recognition under a nice downpour and when it rains it slide here. Have to be careful.
