COOKIES POLICY
1. Who is responsible for protecting your personal data
BH BIKES EUROPE, S.L. (hereinafter BH BIKES) is responsible for this website and for all (mobile) applications that refer to this Privacy Policy. BH BIKES undertakes full responsibility for the protection and security of your personal data.
2. What personal data are collected
All our activities are based on strict ethical principles, and we are committed to protecting the privacy of all visitors to our website and our (mobile) applications. For this reason, the way we collect and store information depends on how our website and related services are used.
2.1 Data collected through your interaction with us
Various technologies are used on our websites and (mobile) applications to improve them, make them easier to use, more efficient, and secure. These technologies may involve the automatic collection of data, either by us or by third parties on our behalf. Examples of such technologies include cookies, flash cookies, and web analytics.
2.1.1 Navigation data (click-stream)
A visit to one of our websites results in data being sent from your browser to our server. This data allows us to optimize our services and improve your experience on our websites and applications. The data is automatically collected and stored by us or by third parties on our behalf. This data may include, in particular:
-
the visitor’s IP address
-
the date and time of the visit
-
the referrer URL (the site from which the visitor came)
-
the pages visited on our website
-
information about the browser used (type and version, operating system, etc.).
2.1.2 What should you know about cookies?
First… what are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer or mobile device. For the purposes of this section, we use “cookies” as a generic term for techniques such as cookies, Flash cookies, web beacons, and JavaScript. Cookies do not take up much space and are automatically deleted when they expire. Some cookies expire at the end of your Internet session, while others are stored for a limited time.
Second… why do we use cookies?
BH Bikes uses cookies to ensure that your visit to our website is as pleasant as possible. There are different types of cookies for different purposes. Some simply allow you to browse the website and view certain features. Others give us insights into your browsing experience — for example, if you have trouble finding what you’re looking for — so that we can improve and make your next visit as pleasant as possible.
Next… what are the different types of cookies we use?
The most important cookies are the necessary cookies. These are essential and help you navigate the website and use basic features. Then there are functional cookies, which allow you to save your shopping cart, create a wish list, and store your shipping information for a faster checkout. We use performance cookies to improve our website. We also like to show you relevant offers. To manage this, we collect browsing data. Interaction cookies allow you to interact with social media or send feedback. Targeting cookies collect your preferences to show you relevant ads outside BH Bikes websites. Below is a more detailed summary of the types of cookies we use.
NECESSARY COOKIES: These are essential and help you navigate, move around the website, and view certain features; in other words, these cookies ensure that your shopping cart is saved throughout the steps of your purchase process.
FUNCTIONAL COOKIES: These allow us to offer you an even more satisfying customer experience. These cookies help you save and remember your shopping cart and allow you to create a wish list.
PERFORMANCE COOKIES: These help us understand the purchasing behavior of our visitors. This allows us to continually improve our website so that shopping becomes easier and more enjoyable for you.
INTERACTION COOKIES: These are used to express your opinion. We love to know what you think about our products, our website, and our company in general. These cookies allow you to show whether you like or recommend us on social media and to chat with our service agents. They also let you advise other (potential) customers by rating and reviewing our products.
TARGETING COOKIES: These remember your product and shopping preferences. We believe relevance is essential in advertising. These cookies allow us to share your preferences with our advertisers so that, when you browse—for example on Google—the ads you see are better tailored to your interests.
Finally… what if you don’t like cookies?
You can change your browser settings to delete or prevent cookies from being stored on your computer or mobile device without your express consent. Your browser’s “Help” section should provide information on how to manage your cookie settings. Learn how this works for your browser here:

We may use service providers and data processors working on behalf of BH Bikes. Such services may include system hosting and maintenance, analytics, email messaging, delivery services, payment transaction management, credit and address checks, etc. These third parties are granted access only to the personal data necessary to perform their specific services. Service providers and data processors are contractually obliged to treat this information with the strictest confidentiality and are prohibited from using the data for any purpose other than that required. Steps have been taken to ensure that our service providers and processors working on behalf of BH Bikes protect the confidentiality of your data.
There may be occasions when we disclose non-personal data to our partners in an anonymous form. Such non-personal data may include, for example, information about the number of visitors to a website or (mobile) application during a specific period. Generally, this information is disclosed only in aggregated form.
5. Your Rights
If you provide us with personal data through our websites or other channels, you do so entirely voluntarily. If you choose not to provide the requested information, you may not be able to access certain customer benefits. 6. Information Security and Data Integrity
We adopt appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized use, disclosure, or access—particularly where the processing involves the transmission of data over networks—or against any other unlawful form of processing or misuse.
7. Protection of Minors’ Personal Data
The protection of minors’ personal data is extremely important. BH Bikes considers it its responsibility to protect minors’ privacy and, consequently, does not intend to collect data from persons under 18 years of age. We encourage parents and guardians to browse the Internet together with their children and enjoy it responsibly.
If a minor under 18 attempts to register and make a purchase, parental or guardian consent will be requested to confirm the action. Data provided and collected about the minor during their visit (for example, via cookies) may be used as described above.
For this reason, we ask parents and guardians to monitor and supervise minors’ Internet use to ensure their protection.
8. Social Networks
Our website and (mobile) applications provide social connectors to various social networks. When you choose to interact with a social network, your activity on our website or through our (mobile) applications will also be shared with social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.
If you are logged into one of these social networks while visiting our website or applications, the network may add this information to your profile. If you interact with one of the social connectors, that information will be transferred to the social network. If you do not wish this transfer to occur, please log out of your social network before visiting our websites or (mobile) applications.
We have no control over this data collection and transfer through social connectors. Please read the privacy policies of these social networks for detailed information about data collection, transfer, your rights, and privacy settings:

You can usually enable or disable your location services in your device or browser settings.

10. Retargeting Technologies
Our website and (mobile) application use Internet retargeting technology. This allows us to show our visitors, who have already shown interest in our store and products, targeted advertising on our partners’ websites. We believe that displaying personalized, interest-based advertising is more engaging for our customers than generic advertising.
We also work with other companies that use tracking technologies to display ads on our behalf across the Internet. These companies may collect information about your visits to our website or (mobile) applications and your interaction with our communications, including advertising.
Retargeting technologies analyze your cookies and display advertising based on your browsing behavior. For more information about cookies, see section 2 of this Privacy Policy.
We do not store personal data through this technology, and the use of our retargeting technology complies with applicable data protection requirements.
